We were on the road when I received the good news and the Seeing in SIXES 2019 Results from the Editor of LensWork: As one of the selected 50 projects, your “Combed” series of six images were slected out of 2019 entries. CONGRATULATIONS to these 50 photographers for their outstanding entries.

Laszlo of Naturalperl fine art photography, as Volunteer Emeritus at Brazos Bend State Park, led his free photography hike for “Birds” on November 2, 2019 from 3 PM to 6 PM. Our group of seven met at the nature Center, then drove to New Horseshoe Lake parking. We set up our photography gear, then after Laszlo’s introductory expert advises and suggestions we slowly walked to the New Horseshoe Lake, discussed the effects of the different direction of the light, then walked at the west side of Elm Lake, talked about composition and the special gifts what we can receive from Nature.

Day 113 (Wednesday): October 30, 2019 

Got up at 6 AM, cloudy, 38 ^oF cold, sprinkling, wet-feeling weather. After boon docking like morning duties, we ate good home made breakfast, then packed and made our rig ready to go. Drove from Sonora on I-10 then on Hwy 290 to Fredericksburg, where we stopped and enjoyed the charming small city, ate good lunch and bought a growler of locally micro brewed beer at the oldest Brewpub in Texas. Continued on Hwy 290 to Johnson City then to Austin in rain, and on Hwy 71 in rain, through Bastrop and Smithville to La Grange, where we stayed at Suncatcher RV Park for one night. Set up our tiny house in rain, but we are fine. Ate a good dinner, finished our journals and read few books. Tomorrow we will be at home again. 

Day 114 (Thursday): October 31, 2019 

Got up at 6:30 AM, lot full time RV-ers, just started to go to work somewhere. The bathhouse was very clean , nice, warm and cozy. I took a warm shower and shaved, and I became a bit better shape. After my strong espresso, and tea, we slowly recuperated, checked e-mails and thought thru lot of things to dos. After breakfast, we started to pack, talked to neighbor campers, then around 10 AM, pulled out from Suncatcher RV park at La Grange. Drove through La Grange then on Hwy 71 and from Columbus on I-10 in very heavy and speeding truck traffic passing many road construction narrow lane areas to Grand Parkway 99, then on Westpark toll road to Beltway 8 then on Beechnut to home. After my lot of practice during our long trip, backed our trailer to the garage like a champ. We arrived home safely. During our long trip, we were happy, all the time. 

Total miles: 15,469.Wow! We made it without trouble.

Thanks for my loving wife Lexi, for her support, for the good food and for the great teamwork during our adventures in many remote areas. Big kudos to our Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road, and to our tiny house, Aliner Titanium Off Road.
