Laszlo’s Selected Images on Cacti at Colorado River Refuge, Bastrop, TX

The Colorado River Refuge of Bastrop, Texas, is managed by the Lands and Prairies Land Trust and contains several nice hiking trails along the Colorado River and nearby areas. The Cactus Garden of the Dragonfly trail is really a unique gem. At least 15 different native cacti species are there. After a few days or a week of heavy rain in late May or early June, the cacti are blooming there. Enjoy a few of my images taken with my large format, 4×5 film camera on Ilford FP4+ film.

Laszlo’s in Progress, New Works on Water Lilies

Laszlo started to explore and search for Water Lilies nearby their Tahitian Village area in Bastrop, TX, a few months ago. Accidentally he found 3 no-names ponds nearby and the fourth one was in Bastrop State Park, called Lake Mina. Fortunately, two were filled with beautiful white-colored Waterlilies. One location was near to the Clinical Pathology Laboratory and I just called it CPL Lake, the other one was in between Hwy 71 and the 150 Loop, so I just called Lilypond near 150 Loop. This latest one was challenging because the nearby land was filled with thorny vegetation, then after that, the swampy area started… However, my suffering was compensated by the view to the lilies from close. Enjoy a few of my images taken with my large format, 4×5 view camera on Ilford FP4+ b&w negative sheet film.
